A mild and typical spring morning is in progress. Temperatures are in the 50s and 60s around the state with southerly winds 15-20 mph.
Later today, it will be warm and windy with highs in the low 80s. Southerly winds 15-25 mph will turn northerly as a cold front moves through the state.
The UV index will be a 7 out of 10 and that's getting into the extreme range.
Thunderstorms are expected later this afternoon. But it looks to be in the eastern third of the state. Tonight, it will be mild with cooler temps.
