For the second time this season, Oklahoma State's Michael Freeman has been named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week, it was announced by the league office today.

Freeman tossed his first-career complete game in Sunday's series finale at top-ranked TCU to lead the Cowboys to a series win over the Frogs. The senior southpaw racked up nine strikeouts, one shy of his career high, and allowed only one earned run in OSU's 7-2 victory.

A native of Broken Arrow, Okla., Freeman scattered six hits, five of them singles, over the nine inning effort and issued just one walk. He threw a career-high 127 pitches, 87 of those for strikes, as he improved to 4-0 on the season.

In six starts this season, Freeman has recorded a 1.63 ERA, the fifth lowest in the Big 12, and he has allowed just two earned runs in 29.0 innings over his last four starts.

Freeman was also named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week on March 2. This week's honor marks the fourth time this season OSU has earned a weekly award from the conference as Kevin Bradley and Jon Littell have also garnered Big 12 Newcomer of the Week accolades.
