Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving a school bus in southwest Oklahoma City, Monday morning.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving a school bus in southwest Oklahoma City, Monday morning.

According to authorities, at about 6:30 a.m., a car struck a Western Heights school bus in the 3600 block of S. Council.

No students were on the bus at the time of the collision. However, the driver of the car was injured and treated by EMSA. That driver's condition is unclear at this time.

Police told News 9 that the driver of the car was trying to turn left from the parking lot of a gas station onto Council Rd., when it hit the Western Heights school bus. 

The driver of the school bus received a ticket for failing to yield. The bus driver was not injured.

Meanwhile, the traffic at Council and S.W. 36th continues to be slow as police investigate the scene.
