OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City police said a man has died after being shot in southeast Oklahoma City, Thursday morning.

About 8:15 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a welfare check in the 200 block of S.E. 40th near Stiles. When officers arrived, they found that the victim, 39-year-old Ian Robert Dickson, had been shot in his driveway.

Dickson was transported to the OU Medical Center, where he later died.

At this time, police said it's unclear as to whether Dickson was shot by someone else, or accidentally shot himself. Police are calling Dickson's death suspicious.

Anyone with information should call the Homicide tip-line at (405)-297-1200.
