Oklahoma City's official website, okc.gov, is down again on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, city officials said a DoS (Denial of Service) attack took down the website. DoS attacks are malicious attempts to keep people from accessing the website. High profile websites are typically targeted in an effort to disrupt business.
okc.gov and flyokc.com were affected by Tuesday's attack.
At about 8 a.m. Wednesday, officials posted on its Twitter account that okc.gov is down again. An IT team is working to resolve the issue, but the website will likely be unavailable for the entire day.
Service may be intermittent as the team work to fix the issue.
DoS attacks are not the same as hacks, which are generally attempts to get inside a network to steal personal and confidential information, according to officials.
