One person was killed and another one was injured in an ATV wreck in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, Monday morning.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, it happened at 11:48 a.m. at a private property on East 8090 Road in Chandler, Oklahoma.

A 2012 Polaris Ranger 800 was traveling eastbound on a private drive when it lost control and ran off the roadway to the left. The four-wheeler then overturned, coming to rest on the driver's side.

The driver, whose name is being withheld due to age, was pronounced dead at the scene due to internal and external trunk injuries.

A passenger was transported to Stroud Regional Medical Center, suffering a leg injury. That person has been treated and released.

Troopers listed the cause of the collision as “unsafe speed for type of roadway” in the OHP collision report. The driver's condition was listed as “apparently normal” at the time of the crash.

Neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a helmet or a seat belt.
