Oklahoma Gradually Warming Up, But Storms Expected Next Week

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

Rainfall totals were non-existent for almost all of Oklahoma west of I-35. Not good. Thankfully, the state will have a much farther-reaching storm system on the way in the middle of the week.

Until then, it will be dry out and it will warm up.

Cloud cover Saturday will stay thick across most of the state, before gradually breaking apart out west. There may be some sunshine in OKC, but it won't be until Saturday afternoon.

There will also be light rain hanging around in E and SE Oklahoma Saturday, where temperatures will be just a bit cooler.

Sunday, the sun returns across the state with much warmer temperatures.

Ahead of the next storm system, it will reach near 80 on Monday with a strong southwest wind.

Clouds will increase again Tuesday before rain moves up from the south Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Wednesday, right now, looks like a washout. We'll still have rain hanging around Thursday morning, but we'll begin clearing out late next week into next weekend.
