An undercover social media sex sting by the Canadian County Sheriff's Office led to the arrest of a Stillwater man.

Canadian County Undersheriff Chris West said 55-year-old Mark Craine recently sent a Facebook friend request to someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl. It was really a Canadian County Deputy with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. West said deputies went and arrested Craine at his Stillwater apartment Wednesday because of the graphic sex acts he indicated he wanted to perform on the girl.

“Then when he started talking about coming to her house and taking her and whisking her away to Colorado to evade authorities,” West said Craine confessed to everything.

Craine pleaded guilty to two counts of lewd or indecent proposal.  He was ordered to serve three years in prison and be on probation for 7 years.

West said this is the 75th arrest the Canadian County Chapter of the Crimes Against Children Task Force has made in the past three years.

“They do carry these things out. And he even told us that he intended to. He would have carried everything out that he said he was going to do,” West said.

News 9 talked to Craine's son briefly outside Craine's apartment Friday afternoon. He said his dad is innocent.
