OKLAHOMA CITY - Even 67 years after first going up, school pride for alumni of the original John Marshall High School hasn't wavered.

Alumni have salvaged the old rusted flagpole from the original school.

“What we heard is that is was put in by the class of Britton High in 1931 and 32,” said alumni Terry Harris.

Before being moved to the original John Marshall High, the flagpole and was first hoisted at Britton High School.

“We are going to get it re-fix and repair it. We are able to keep the whole thing,” added Harris.

The restored flagpole will hopefully go on display near the football field of the new John Marshall High School.

“It just means a lot to them and it ties all the schools together,” said Harris.
