A tip leads deputies with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office to a man accused of child sex crimes.

Investigators said the abuse stretches over a period of four years.

An Edmond man sits in the county jail on 14 complaints of sexual abuse of a child.

Edmond Police have been investigating the sexual abuse for nearly a year.

Oklahoma County Sheriff's Deputies walked 35-year-old Phillip Libby to his jail cell, after he was pulled over by deputies assigned to the warrant team Thursday.

In June of last year, a young victim bravely came forward telling forensic investigators Libby molested her multiple times.

The victim described several incidents in great detail, details we cannot reveal because they're just too graphic.

Libby was called in for questioning, and at first told investigators he didn't have much information. But, a few hours later, Libby came back and investigators said he confessed to the sexual abuse allegations.

“And said he wanted to do what was right,” said Jenny Monroe, Edmond PD.

A Court document shows Libby admitted he sexually assaulted a juvenile in his home, and the abuse had been ongoing since 2011.

According to the filing, "He wanted to make this as easy as possible on his wife and kids."

The victim told investigators, Libby "had been touching her since she was young." And the victim said Libby told her "It was not wrong or bad because the victim was not a [relative] by blood."

Libby told investigators "He did not know why he did it. He said maybe it was the rush and the other times it was the opportunity."

“This victim has been very brave in coming forward and letting others know the abuse was taking place, and absolutely did the right thing,” said Monroe.

Libby's bond is set at $140,000.
