SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -

St. Gregory's senior Marty Wilkerson has been selected to the 2015 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball All-Star team. The NAIA Division I All-Stars will take on the Division II All-Stars at the NABC-NAIA Men's Basketball All-Star Game on March 21 at 8 p.m. inside Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium.

Wilkerson, a Memphis native, was a first-team All-SAC pick this season. His 20.6 scoring average ranks third in the SAC and eighth nationally. Wilkerson's 4.5 assists per contest are seventh in the conference and 19th in the NAIA. Wilkerson scored 20 points or more in 16 games this season.

All players with senior eligibility status were in the Division I and Division II All-Star Team selection pool. The teams were selected by the NABC-NAIA Men's Basketball All-Star Committee, which is comprised of head coaches from both the Division I and Division II ranks. Criteria takes into account season statistics, awards and a champions-of-character aspect.

The Division I All-Star Team is comprised of five players at this time: Craig Anderson of Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.), Shane Butler of Blue Mountain (Miss.), Russell Byrd of The Master's (Calif.), Matt Qualls of Bacone (Okla.) and Wilkerson. The rest of the 10-man team will be selected from a pool of 12 finalists, whose teams are participating in the 2015 Division I National Championship.
