Travis Ewanyk tallied a goal and an assist and Matt Ford netted two goals as the Oklahoma City Barons downed the Milwaukee Admirals by a score of 5-1 for the second consecutive game Tuesday night at the Cox Convention Center.

Fifty-three seconds after the Barons broke a 1-1 tie on Andrew Miller's 22nd goal of the season at 2:02 of the third period, Ewanyk picked up a loose puck in the Milwaukee zone and skidded a pass from behind the Admirals net to Chase Schaber, who wristed a shot over the glove of Milwaukee goalie Magnus Hellberg for his first career AHL goal and a 3-1 Barons lead.

After Schaber's goal, Ewanyk increased the Barons' lead to 4-1 at 15:23, taking a pass in the slot from Josh Winquist and blasting a one timer into the top right corner of the Milwaukee net.

Barons goalie Laurent Brossoit stopped 21 shots in the win.

Milwaukee opened the game's scoring at 13:16 of the first period. With the Admirals' Jonathan Diaby serving a high-sticking penalty, Joe Pendenza put a shot on net from the right circle of the Barons zone that OKC goalie Laurent Brossoit blocked toward Austin Watson, who chipped the puck into the Barons net for a short-handed goal and 1-0 Admirals lead.

Oklahoma City tied the game at 4:02 of the second period when a shot by Jason Williams deflected to the right of the Admirals net, where Ford flipped the puck past Hellberg.

Miller's go-ahead goal in the third period came when C.J. Ludwig sent a shot from the point that caromed off the glass behind the Milwaukee net and landed at the feet of Miller, who slid the puck behind Hellberg.

Following Schaber's and Ewanyk's goals, Ford notched his second goal of the game with a shot from center ice that skidded into an empty Admirals net to make the score 5-1 OKC at 19:09 of the third.

The Barons' next game is Saturday, March 14, when they take on the Charlotte Checkers in a 7 p.m. start at the Cox Convention Center.
