NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A Norman man was punched and wound up in the hospital with a broken jaw and no memory of what happened or who did it.

Several people witnessed the attack, but no one is talking.

Andre Lloyd said he was at Bison Witches in Norman around closing time early Friday morning when he went to help a friend outside and got knocked out.

“It hurts, it's painful,” said Lloyd. “On a scale of 1 to 10, I haven't gone anywhere below an 8,” Lloyd added.

Lloyd's jaw was shattered and so is his mother.

“I don't understand how people in this community can treat each other that way,” said Lloyd's mother, Morgan Rogers.

The 24-year-old Norman native was in the hospital Tuesday awaiting surgery to fix his broken jaw.

He said he was at Bison Witches, a place he goes to every week, and saw a friend getting harassed outside.

Lloyd said he took a few steps outside when he was blindsided.

“I just remember yelling like, ‘Stop' and waving my hands,'” explained Lloyd. “I was heading to help pull people off him, someone hit me, I fell to the ground and everything just got blurry and I blacked out,” he added.

Lloyd woke up at the hospital not knowing who hit him, who dropped him off or what happened in between.

“I've asked a lot of people and I can't seem to find a witness,” he told News 9.

Rogers said she cannot believe no one called an ambulance or reported to police what happened to Lloyd until she called the police from the hospital on Friday.

“I am just appalled and I find it unfathomable about what happened and the fact that nobody did anything,” she said.

A bartender at Bison Witches told News 9 he saw Lloyd lying on the ground when he went outside to break up the fight, but someone scooped Lloyd up and took him away.

The bartender said there were at least 20 people fighting outside.

Norman Police told News 9 they cannot say much about this case, only that it's an active investigation.

If you saw what happened, they asked that you call them.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for Lloyd.
