MOORE, Oklahoma -

Moore Police arrested two men wanted for stealing a Department of Tourism truck from Lake Murray. Patrick Keene and Andrew Waterman are currently in the Cleveland County Jail.

Police said both fled on foot once they were spotted.

Officers captured Waterman shortly after the pursuit started, but said Keen jumped a locked fence near 12th and Nail Parkway. And Moore police found him hiding in the most unusual place.

That unusual place turned out to be a backyard chicken coop. Except Keene didn't quite fit and police spotted his legs sticking out of it.

“He didn't put up a fight at that point,” said Jeremy Lewis of the Moore. “They were able to take him into custody.”

Police identified the two suspects as Patrick Keene and Andrew Waterman and said they were the one's inside the stolen Department of Tourism truck.

Police said they spotted them and the stolen truck near NE 16th and Smoking Tree Streets. And that Keene actually entered a nearby home.

Laurie Harlow lives right next door to the house where Keene tried to hide, and had no idea he had broken in through the backyard door.

“That's scary that's very scary,” said Harlow. “I mean I have two dogs, but I have my daughter and my middle grandson that lives with me and that just scares me.”

Turned out there was someone inside the home that came face to face with Keene

“The occupant inside was trying to get away,” said Lewis. “He grabbed a hold of her arm inside and pulled her into a hallway.”

Police said the woman was able to escape out the garage and flag down police. And officers finally tracked down Keene to the house with the chicken coop less than half a mile away.

Court records show both Waterman and Keene have a long list of prior convictions.

Keene is being held on a $100,000 bond. Waterman is being held on a $5,000 bond.
