Lyrik Martin was only nine months old when she died at Children's Hospital back in February of 2012.

Her mother had called 911 saying she wasn't breathing at the home.

And doctors said she had numerous skull fractures and other broken bones when she arrived.

But to this day, no one has been held accountable for her death.

Oklahoma City police told News 9 they understand the frustration surrounding this case.

They are also frustrated.

But so far, nobody has come forward with the information they need to put the person or persons responsible in jail.

“Nobody wants to see this case solved more than our investigators,” said Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow with the Oklahoma City Police Department. “We understand it's been a period of three years, but again, we want to see it solved more than anyone.”

There was a Facebook page created shortly after Lyrik's death.

‘Blue Justice for Lyrik Martin' was started as a way to keep up with the case.

It has received almost 700 likes and contains countless posts and pictures from those seeking justice for Lyrik.

They, too, want to see someone held accountable.

But police said so far they've had a hard time getting all the people involved to cooperate with the investigation.

“I think often times people think maybe their tip is too insignificant too small to come forward,” said Sgt. Wardlow. “But again, this is a little baby who lost her life! It's something we want to get - whoever the suspect or suspects are - in custody.”

According to the police report made back in 2012, Lyrik's mother called 911 from their southwest Oklahoma City apartment.

The mother stated Lyrik had been sick and throwing up for a couple of days and that she and her boyfriend took Lyrik to Southwest Medical Center where they diagnosed her with an ear infection and then sent them home with medicine.

The Medical Examiner's report determined Lyrik didn't die of an infection, but of blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen and ruled her death a homicide.

“And we're hopeful that somebody out there has information and can bring that forward to our detectives and ultimately help solve this case,” said Sgt. Wardlow.

Police asked that anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.

Lyrik would have turned four this year.

News 9 checked and DHS has no child abuse complaints on file on Lyrik's case.

There is also no report with the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth since no one has been arrested or charged with Lyrik's death yet.
