OKLAHOMA CITY - Emergency crews have been responding to winter weather related accidents beginning Friday afternoon.

Just before 3:00 p.m. crews were called to the scene of a rollover accident involving an SUV. The vehicle flipped at the edge of the Wilshire exit, off Broadway Extension. Traffic was backed up in the area because of that crash.

Shortly after, emergency crews headed to Boulevard SB from Covell to an accident. That area has been shut down, until the scene is clear.

EMSA's last report as of 6 a.m. Friday reported 25 motor vehicle accidents with injury, nine slips or falls and one response to cold exposure. However, emergency officials said these numbers dramatically increased Friday afternoon.
