Posted: Updated:

Emergency crews responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash reported near Interstate 44 and NW 36th St. in Oklahoma City, Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, up to as many as seven vehicles may have been involved in the collision on the eastbound side of I-44, near the NW 26th St. exit.

Several lanes of the highway had to be shut down while crews worked the scene. Those lanes were re-opened just before 3:30 p.m.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fender bender happened first. Then a silver sedan swerved to miss the initial crash, struck a wall and rolled on its top.

Two people were transported from the scene by ambulance to a local hospital. Their injuries are not considered life threatening.
