Man's Body Found Near Grass Fire In Cleveland County

CLEVELAND COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Authorities in Cleveland County said they are investigating a man's death after his body was found near a grass fire Saturday afternoon.

Norman and Little Axe fire crews got the call around 2 p.m. Saturday about the fire near 192nd S.E. and Alameda Streets. Authorities said fire crews found the body as they were extinguishing the fire in the 20000 block of Alameda Street.

Firefighters told the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office about the body at 2:37 p.m., according to a press release.

The State Fire Marshal's Office and Medical Examiner's Office were reportedly called to the scene.

The lead detective on the case told News 9 there were no obvious signs of foul play.
