Bethany Lockdown Lifted, Burglary Suspect In Custody

The Bethany School District was released from lockdown after police arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a burglary and vehicle theft on Thursday afternoon.

The Bethany School District was released from lockdown after police arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a burglary and vehicle theft on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the scene in the 6800 block of NW 44th St. around 2:30 p.m. and the school was placed on lock down shortly thereafter.

Officers finally arrested the suspect near the NW 44th and Rockwell after an hour of searching. Authorities have not said how and where they found the man.

In all, two suspects were arrested. The first was quickly taken into custody before the lock down and manhunt. Police have not identified either man.
