Brief Warmup Arrives Ahead Of Another Frigid Oklahoma Weekend

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

We're looking at mainly clear skies in the metro Wednesday evening under a light north breeze.

Temperatures will fall into the 30s and eventually into the low 20s by morning. Thursday we're expecting plenty of sunshine and a south breeze by the afternoon. High temperatures will warm up nicely after the chilly start into the 50s.

On Friday those south winds will continue and will start to increase our humidity with clouds and eventually some drizzle by afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s as south winds increase to 15-25mph through the day.

Friday into Saturday we stay very mild with the clouds and south winds continuing with lows on Saturday morning only in the 50s.

By Saturday afternoon and evening a cold front will press to the south with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly for eastern parts of the state. The cold front will bring in much colder air into Sunday with highs only in the 30s.
