MEDFORD, Oklahoma - The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake near Medford Saturday evening.

The 3.0 magnitude quake shook the area 17 miles south, southeast of Medford and 18 miles northeast of Enid at 10:22 p.m., according to the USGS.

The earthquake was more than two miles deep, the USGS said.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
