Police Investigate After Car Crashes Into Home In Norman

Police are investigating after a car crashed into a home in Norman, Oklahoma, early Wednesday morning.

Police are investigating after a car crashed into a home in Norman, Oklahoma, early Wednesday morning.

According to Norman police, at 12:10 a.m., emergency crews responded to the report of a collision in the 2300 block of David Court.

Officers learned that a car was southbound in the 500 block of 24th Avenue NE when it ran off the roadway to the right. The car reportedly drove over the curb, into a fence and through a backyard. It then drove into another fence and a neighboring backyard.

But it didn't stop there. Police said the car continued and eventually crashed into a house. It came to rest inside the home.

The house was occupied at the time, but no one inside the home was injured, according to police. 

The driver, a 58-year-old man from Norman, was taken to a local hospital for examination. Police said the collision is still under investigation.
