Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said at Wednesday's press conference he hoped to have a wide receivers and secondary coach by the middle of next week.

It sounds like at least one of those positions is going to be filled considerably sooner.

Washington State coach Mike Leach confirmed on Wednesday WSU outside receivers coach Dennis Simmons will be the next wide receivers coach for the Sooners. There were multiple reports on the move prior to Leach spilling the beans.

Simmons worked with new offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley at Texas Tech and East Carolina. He has been at WSU since the 2012 season. Current offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh was also an assistant at Texas Tech under Leach with Riley and Simmons.

Nothing has been confirmed at this point, but multiple outlets have reported Notre Dame secondary coach Kerry Cooks will come to Oklahoma in the same capacity.
