It was another busy night for Oklahoma City firefighters as they put out multiple fires across the metro overnight.

At around midnight, crews responded to a house fire at S.W. 25th and Portland. One person was inside the home but managed to escape. Firefighters said a space heater may have been placed too close to a chair, which caused the fire. Damage is estimated at about $25,000.

At about 2 a.m., crews received a report of another fire at a home on S.W. 119th between Rockwell and Meridian. The cause is under investigation.

At about the same time, firefighters rescued a man after his apartment caught on fire at the Grouse Run Apartments on the 2400 block of N.W. 122nd. That man has been transported to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
