DEL CITY, Oklahoma -

A Del City, Oklahoma, home was destroyed in a fire early Monday morning.

According to the Del City Fire Department, at about 4:30 a.m., crews responded to the fire at a home on E. Reno near Sunnylane.

E. Reno just east of Sunnylane was reduced to one lane in each direction, as crews worked to extinguish this fire. The lanes reopened at about 7 a.m.

According to authorities, the homeowner was home when the fire started, and they made it out just fine. However, the home is a total loss.

No word on a cause but we're told water is freezing in that area.
