Authorities confirm there was an officer-involved shooting in Kingfisher County Friday evening.

Sometime before 6 p.m., Dover police made a traffic stop for a suspected DUI driver on Highway 81 in Dover. Authorities said a Kingfisher County deputy responded to assist with the traffic stop.

It is unknown how many people were in the vehicle, but one person pulled a knife, according to officials. Authorities said the Kingfisher deputy then shot this suspect.

Dover police then called the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) to investigate the shooting at 6 p.m.

Officials with OSBI could not confirm the condition of the suspect.
