OSBI: Teen Arrested On Murder Complaint In Antlers

A 17-year-old was arrested on a murder complaint in connection to a deadly shooting that happened late Thursday evening in Antlers, Oklahoma.

A 17-year-old was arrested on a murder complaint in connection to a deadly shooting that happened late Thursday evening in Antlers, Oklahoma.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the shooting occurred in the 500 block of N.E. B Street in Antlers. Authorities said it was the result of a confrontation between the victim and the suspect.

The victim, 19-year-old Ronnie Wesley Long, was shot and died at the scene. OSBI agents began investigating and arrested 17-year-old Chase Lloyd Covington of Hugo, Oklahoma.

Covington was booked into the Pushmataha County Jail on a murder complaint. A mug shot is not available at this time. 

Multiple agencies are investigating the homicide, including the OSBI and Antlers police.
