NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A Norman Police Department recruitment video is going viral around the state.

It's a parody of Disney Frozen's song "For The First Time in Forever."

The video has already racked up more than 7,000 views in the past 24 hours. Officer Carl Pendleton said that's exactly what he wanted it to do.

The two minute video is put together by one of Norman's finest.

The recruitment video was shot after-hours and is the brain child of Master Police Officer Carl Pendleton.

The idea came to him a few months ago while watching Frozen.

“People love Frozen. People love to see officers have a great time and I just thought it would be a good way to pull it together,” said Master Police Officer Carl Pendleton.

And in less than 24 hours it has already worked.

Calls and e-mails flooded Officer Pendleton's office from California to New Jersey.

There's been no shortage of applicants over the years, but Officer Pendleton hopes this video grabs the attention of anyone on the fence about applying.

“I wanted people to know we are hiring and so I just want to do something fun, but how quickly it's gotten that big I didn't expect it,” he said.

And Officer Pendleton isn't shy in the video or about sharing his love for Frozen. He's seen the movie more than 20 times.

“The sound track is on my phone. I really enjoy it!” said Pendleton.

A second video to the tune of "Let's Build a Snowman" is in the final stages of editing and should be released soon.

If you're interested in joining the Norman Police Department, the application deadline is February 13th.
