A man was arrested on multiple complaints after leading an Oklahoma County deputy on a chase in a stolen vehicle in Oklahoma City, Tuesday night.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, just before 7 p.m., a deputy was at S.W. 15th and S. Portland when he saw a small pickup truck run a red light. The deputy attempted to stop the driver. However, the driver took off at a high rate of speed. That's when the chase began.

The pursuit lasted nearly eight minutes and finally ended when a deputy performed a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI) maneuver at S.W. 64th and S. McKinley.

The driver, later identified as 31-year-old Christopher Allan Balderas, was taken into custody. Deputies later determined that the truck Balderas was driving had been reported stolen out of Oklahoma City.

Balderas was then booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on multiple complaints, including possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding, failure to stop at a red light, and driving with a revoked license. He is being held on $4,500 bond.

A passenger in Balderas' vehicle was not arrested.
