An earthquake shook up residents near Medford, Oklahoma, Sunday morning.

The 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 10:23 a.m.

Its epicenter was located eight miles south southwest of Medford, 21 miles north of Enid, and 40 miles west of Ponca City, at a depth of about two miles.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with the small earthquake.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
