YUKON, Oklahoma - Emergency crews responded to the report of a person hit by a car Friday afternoon. Authorities said a young boy was hit and has significant injuries to his leg. Authorities told News 9 the boy is approximately 10 years old.

The crash was reported at Poplar Avenue and S. 9th Street in Yukon near Central Elementary. The driver was an adult female and she cooperated with authorities on scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital from the scene. He was reportedly conscious during the transport.
