My 2 Cents: President Criticized For Absence At Paris March

Critics of President Obama are jumping on him for failing to join some 40 other world leaders Sunday for this arm-in-arm lock-step demonstration of their resolve against terrorism by Islamic extremists.

And Monday the President's spokesman admitted it was a mistake not to send a higher ranking US official than our ambassador to France to stand in solidarity with other leaders.

I think the mistake was saying it was a mistake for the President or Vice President not to be there.

If anyone questions this country's resolve in the war on terror just look at the price that has been paid in blood and treasure.

It's fine to march as a symbol of unity, but these terrorists aren't the least bit intimidated by politicians in overcoats walking through Paris. The real test is what they do next.

These countries need to orchestrate a continent-wide crackdown on terror cells, and they must be willing to take the fight overseas for a sustained period of time.

President Obama has called for a summit of world leaders in February. It's critical that they come up with a global plan to take apart the terror networks.

They can march together after that if they still need a photo op.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
