USGS: Earthquake Hits Near Anthony, Kansas
ANTHONY, KS. - An earthquake was reported near the town of Anthony, Kansas.
The 3.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded at approximately 10:36 a.m. Saturday.
Its epicenter was located six miles east northeast of Anthony, 47 miles southwest of Wichita, and about 120 miles north of Oklahoma City, at a depth of three miles.
No injuries or damages have been reported as a cause of the quake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
