The second weekend in January remains firmly in a cold weather pattern.

Highs Saturday will reach the upper 30s and lower 40s, but a strong south wind at 15 to 25 mph will offset those temps and make it feel like the 20s outside. Clouds have moved in and will stay throughout Saturday afternoon.

Overnight, lows will drop to just below freezing. A storm system will move in from south Texas and brings a chance of freezing rain to south central and southeast Oklahoma after midnight.

In OKC, there's the slightest chance of very light freezing drizzle. It may not have much impact on travel, but the bridges and overpasses may have a few slick spots. Temperatures won't stay below freezing long Sunday morning, so there won't be any long-lasting impacts.

Highs will again reach the 30s and 40s on Sunday afternoon.

Looking ahead, a cold front moves in overnight Sunday into Monday, bringing afternoon highs closer to freezing on Monday. With the cold air in place, another storm system will bring a chance of snow overnight Tuesday into Wednesday with some accumulations possible.

Still nothing nailed down with this system, so it bears a watchful eye.
