OKLAHOMA CITY - A funeral service has been set for former Oklahoma City Councilman and Oklahoma County Commissioner Jack Cornett.

According to authorities, 89-year-old Cornett passed just after 9:15 p.m. Monday with his family by his side.

Cornett was a councilman for 24 years making him the longest serving member of the Oklahoma City council. His funeral will be held at the Saint Luke's United Methodist church at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Instead of flowers, donations can be made to the South OKC Rotary Foundation.
