OKLAHOMA CITY -

A burglary victim used an app to remotely take a photo of the suspect who has her stolen phone, and Oklahoma City police hope that photo will help them catch those responsible for the crime.

According to police, at about 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, two male suspects burglarized an apartment in the 12700 block of N. Penn. in Oklahoma City. Residents told police they are missing a laptop, some prescription medications, a male Pomeranian dog, and an Android smart phone.

The owner of the smart phone told police she was able to remotely track the phone, and take pictures and view them with her other cell phone. Police said the victim was able to take a picture of one of the suspects.

Officers said they tracked the phone to a location close to the victims' apartment.  However, they were unable to determine the exact location.

Police released the photo remotely taken of the suspect on Tuesday, January 6. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300.

Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
