EDMOND, Oklahoma - An Edmond man was arrested after investigators discovered thousands of child pornography videos and pictures in his possession. It came to light after an investigation pinpointed a house in Edmond and a long track record of child pornography.

The doorbell may be out of order, but investigators said there are plenty of other things working inside the home that led authorities right to the doorstep. News 9 knocked. The door opened, closed, and after a few seconds, the suspect's mother told News 9 she doesn't think her son did any of the disgusting things he is accused of doing.

Records state the Stillwater Police Department conducted an undercover investigation of the sharing and distribution of child pornography and found an IP address that traced back to the home of 30-year-old William Pate. On a computer, detectives found more than 2,000 videos of child porn as well as pictures and another 57 videos that were "recorded underneath the bathroom door"... "of unidentified males taking a shower." Those videos were shot from a bathroom inside Pate's house.

“I just don't think that they should say anything, because it's under investigation still,” his mother said.

She also said she plans to get him out of jail.

“He doesn't belong there,” she said.

Pate was charged with 67 counts and is behind bars at the Oklahoma County Jail.
