Roadways in the Oklahoma panhandle were impacted by snowfall from Saturday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that all lanes on US Highway 287 had been closed, headed north and south at 6 p.m. The closure was due to a semi blocking both lanes of traffic, the OHP said. There were also multiple vehicles and semis stuck on the roadway, according to OHP.

As of 1:30 p.m. Sunday, all lanes of southbound US-287/US-385 were opened in Cimarron County from the Colorado state line to the Texas state line.

Snow-packed and slick roads are still reported in the Oklahoma Panhandle and ODOT crews are continuing clearance operations in these areas. Drivers are urged to use caution if travel is necessary. If drivers must travel out of state they are urged to check area road conditions before heading out.
