Winter, well, it's finally here and it's going to stick around.
Temperatures in Oklahoma range from 9 degrees in the panhandle to teens in the NW, 20s and a few 30s in the state. Strong north winds are bringing arctic air into the region and temperatures will start to drop. Wind chills will be at or below zero at times.
We have reached our high for the day early this morning at 31 degrees. It will drop from here.
Tonight, there is a chance for some type of winter precip, maybe a flurry or two as we drop to 17 degrees. Remember to care for your outdoor pets and leave faucets streaming tonight.
You can expect to feel the bite from this very cold air for the next six days for sure. So bundle up, prepare for the possibility of snow and ice on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
