An arctic cold front moves in Monday night bringing bitterly cold temperatures. Overnight lows drop to the upper 20s, but after factoring in what will be a blustery wind it will likely feel closer to the low and mid-teens.
Light snow will be developing in the panhandle.
Look for mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday with highs topping out just under freezing along with a breezy north wind. Light snow will be possible in the metro and areas west. A dusting to a half an inch will be possible.
The forecast near the end of the week still looks a little tricky. Mixed precipitation is expected Thursday and Friday but exact timing and type will need to be fine-tuned. Icy roads are looking likely for that time frame.
