Oklahoma City police have decided to end a standoff without taking a gunman into custody.

According to police, it happened at a house in the 2800 block of S.W. 62nd Street. Police and the SWAT team were in the area for several hours Tuesday night and Wednesday morning after neighbors called 9-1-1 to say a man was outside yelling and pointing a gun at several people.

Police said the man did make threats to people. When police arrived, the gunman went into a house and refused to come out.

Shortly after midnight, police decided to call off the standoff and said they'll present the case to the District Attorney's office to decide what - if any- charges will be filed against the gunman.

Police declined to go into further details at this time. News 9 and News9.com will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
