Two More Quakes Rumble In Oklahoma

An earthquake rattled residents near the town of Perry, Okla., in Noble County, Monday morning.

Following 'Seismic Sunday', two more earthquakes have rumbled in parts of central and northern Oklahoma on Monday.

The first, a 3.2 magnitude quake, struck just after 11 a.m., eight miles south southwest of Perry, 13 miles west northwest of Stillwater, or about 49 miles north of the Oklahoma City metro, at a depth of three miles.

This is the third 3+ earthquake that has rumbled in the Perry area in the last 26 hours. On Sunday, earthquakes at magnitudes 3.4 and 3.0 respectively, were recorded at 9:48 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The second earthquake was recorded at 12:22 p.m., three miles east of Meeker, Okla., in Lincoln County, at a depth of three and a half miles.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with any of these earthquakes.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with earthquakes at magnitudes of 4.0 and higher.
