Emergency crews responded to the scene of an accident involving an Oklahoma City police officer Friday afternoon.

According to police, officer Bryan Holloway was involved in a crash with a car driven by 79-year-old Marinan Reese on NW 150th Street between May Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.

The intersection of NW 150th Street and Sugar Loaf was shut down when authorities investigated the crash.

Both the officer and the woman driving the other car were transported to the hospital.

Officer Holloway was placed on medical leave, according to Oklahoma City police. And Reese's condition was downgraded to critical, but stable.

Reese is in the ICU at OU Medical, police said.
