Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Lanes On WB I-44 Near May

A three-car crash on the westbound side of Interstate 44, near the May Ave. exit, caused major traffic delays during rush hour traffic in Oklahoma City, Thursday evening.

News 9 is told one person was transported to a local hospital due to injuries suffered in the collision. That person's identity and the severity of their injury is not known.

At its zenith, traffic on the westbound side of the highway was backed up from May Ave. to the Broadway Extension. It is unclear how the crash occurred.

EMSA was called scene, but it is not known if anyone else needed treatment.
