OU President David Boren said the University community is saddened by this tragic accident.

And that's how others described the incident that occurred Friday night.

"Even though this is the Bedlam game, I'm going to see her face in my mind for a long time," said OU game attendee Tommy Jones.

Since 1985 Tommy Jones and his family have seen touchdown after touchdown inside Memorial Stadium while their R.V. is parked just East off Brooks Street in lane 15.

In Lane 16 a married couple, of what some believe to be over 60 years, Loretta and Edward Browning.

"This is kind of like a family. You may not know their names but you know their faces," said Jones.

The night before every game for the last three years Tommy has seen the Browning's pull-in earlier than everyone else. This year they were late.

"My wife was sitting on the couch and she just looked out the window and said well he's on the ground," said Jones.

Rushing to their aid, Tommy discovered Edward was reaching for Loretta. She was under the RV.

"He was saying oh honey I'm so sorry," said Jones.

Tommy then helped pull Loretta out.

Police have not released details but Tommy believed Edward might have been attempting to park the RV on its blocks while Loretta stood outside to watch.

"He turned her over and was still talking to her apologetic and was saying I don't know what happened and I'm so sorry," said Jones.

A moment Tommy will never forget.

"I woke up a half a dozen times last night," said Jones.

So inside the stadium on this Bedlam day, Tommy won't send messages down to the field but up to the sky.

"She's in God's hands now," said Jones.

O.U. also released that the Browning's are from Copan, Oklahoma just north of Bartlesville.
