I don't know about you, but it was nice to feel 60 degrees and sunshine Wednesday afternoon under ample sunshine.

Wednesday night we'll see mostly clear skies under light winds that will become south by sunrise. We'll continue with the quiet weather for one more day with plenty of sunshine and a light south breeze.

By Friday our next big weather system starts to head in from the west with increasing clouds. Light showers and drizzle will be possible through the day as a warm front will slowly press to the north.

This front will create a sharp gradient from northwest in the 30s and 40s to some low 60s south of the front down near the Red River. This front will be the focal point of rain and thunderstorms to develop along Friday night into Saturday morning.

Some of these storms could be strong with lots of lightning, small hail and heavy rains. These rains late Friday night into Saturday afternoon could produce over an inch or two across the state especially to the southeast of OKC.

By late Saturday, a cold front sweeps through and takes the rain to the east for a nice end to the weekend on Sunday. So there will be no winter weather this weekend, with temperatures well above freezing. However we're tracking our next possible Arctic Blast that looks to arrive right after Thanksgiving.
