Texas defeated Oklahoma State 28-7 on Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater. Here's some instant analysis, stick around for the full game story.

What went wrong:

It was the same old story. The offensive line was dominated, quarterback Daxx Garman wasn't efficient, and the offense as a whole couldn't function. The Cowboy defense actually performed quite well after the first quarter, but it didn't matter.

What it means:

Oklahoma State lost its best chance to become bowl eligible. Texas is far from a cupcake – the Longhorns are on the rise – but with trips to Baylor and OU remaining, the Pokes' chances at the postseason look slim. As for Texas, Charlie Strong's Longhorns won game No. 6 and will head to the postseason.

OSU game ball:

Copan Combs. Who is that? He's the OSU fan who won a cool $10,000 by making a field goal at the end of the third quarter. Why does he get the game ball? Because Combs is the only Cowboy who will leave Boone Pickens Stadium with a smile on his face.

What's next:

The Cowboys remain at five wins, and will head to Baylor (8-1) next Saturday in search of bowl eligibility. The Bears will be looking to impress the College Football Playoff committee and will likely attempt to hang as many points as possible on the Pokes.
