Oklahoma City Thunder players laced up for a day of fun with students from the Boys and Girls Club at a Thunder Camp in the metro.

Serge Ibaka, Reggie Jackson, Sebastian Telfair and Lance Thomas, along with 60 middle and high school students participated at the Classen School of Advanced Studies.

The camp helped kids focus on basketball drills and cardio workouts.

But some said the impact was much greater.

“They're teaching these kids how to be team players, teaching them how to have dedication and determination, not just on the basketball court, in school,” said Jaye Johnson, Boys and Girls Club facilities director.

The Thunder Fit Clinics were designed to encourage kids to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
