LOGAN COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Investigators in Logan County said they are looking for help in a cattle death investigation.

Cattle owner Steve Norton told police on the morning of Nov. 5, he found his Black Angus calf had been shot. The wound was on the right side behind the right front of the shoulder, larger than a .22 caliber, authorities said. After more investigating, officials found a broken arrow inside the calf's rib cage. The arrow was dark with a broad arrow tip, commonly used in bow hunting. There was red coloring on the arrow tip with three silver blades, according to investigators.

Authorities said the suspect had broken off the arrow, trying to recover it. Tire tracks and shoe prints were also in the area near the calf.

The Oklahoma Wildlife Commission Game Warden and the Department of Agriculture Law Enforcement Division are assisting in the investigation. Several residents have been interviewed, but the Logan County Sheriff's Department is asking for other hunters or other land owners in the area of Luther Road just south of Triplett on the west side of the road to share any information they may have about the case. Surveillance video or any other leads could help with the investigation.
