BETHANY, Oklahoma -

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) Bomb Squad safely retrieved grenades after a person walked into the Bethany Fire Department with the devices.

Authorities said the person said the devices had belonged to a deceased relative and wanted to get rid of them.

The bomb squad found that one of the devices was a live explosive and the other was inert, or harmless.

Experts said they will dispose of them.

Authorities reminded members of the public to call 911 if you believe a device has the capacity to explode and to not touch it.
